Aluminum die casting has proven to be an ideal method for making various parts of street light housing with a variety of materials. Die casting operations guarantee dimensional accuracy, the finished LED street lighy housing requires little or no machining, and the many properties of aluminum make it an excellent metal for designing die casting light housings.

1. What is a die-cast light?

Lighting die casting produces non-toxic and lightweight aluminum lamps. They are also non-corrosive and ideal for outdoor use. Die-cast aluminum, which imitates cast iron, is particularly sought after by street or outdoor lights, but they can also be made into exquisite chandeliers and wall lamps.

2. What's the difference between die and cast?

The biggest and most obvious difference between the mold and the sand casting process is the material used to form the mold. Die casting uses metal molds, while sand casting uses molds made of sand.

3. Why is it called die casting?

Due to the use of molds, the process is called die casting. Molds are steel molds that are mainly manufactured by CNC machining, into which you can inject liquid metal. It has two halves: a fixed half, fixed to a continuous caster, and a movable ejector half.
