1. What's A Modular LED Street Light?

Modular LED street light refers to street light of LED modules which consist of LED chips, heatsink, and lens. An LED module is a structure that integrates LED light source, light distribution, heat dissipation, dustproof and waterproof grades. Years ago LED street lamp which is composed of one or several modules replaced traditional LED street lights. Compare to traditional LED street lamps, LED light sources of modular street lights are much easier to replace on-site once they are damaged. Previously the lamps can only be replaced as a whole or returned to the factory for maintenance, which results in waste of resources, time-consuming and laborious problems.

2. What is a motion sensor?

A motion sensor is a device that recognizes physical movement on a product or in the surrounding area. Real-time physical and/or kinetic movements can be detected and recorded by it.

Another name for a motion sensor is a motion detector.

The motion sensors in LED lighting area are usually used for detecting passing persons or cars. When there are no persons or cars, the LED lights could work under energy-saving mode, for example 30% power. If there are persons or cars coming and detected by motion sensor, the motion sensor would turn the LED lights to 100% power automatically.

3. What is a NEMA socket/connector?

NEMA means National Electrical Manufacturers Association in the USA. NEMA connectors are power plugs and receptacles used for AC mains electricity in North America and other countries that use the standards set by the US National Electrical Manufacturers Association. The voltage ratings for NEMA wire devices range from 125 to 600 volts and the current values range from 15 to 60 amperes (A) (V). For each combination of voltage, electric current carrying capacity, and grounding system, different permutations of contact blade widths, shapes, orientations, and dimensions result in non-interchangeable connections.
