LED Street Light Project In Italy

The city street lighting project in Italy was finished in 2019. After the DIALux lighting simulation, our clients purchased 100 units of 90W KM series and 156 units of 35W KS series cobra head designed LED street lights to work together. The 90W KM series street LED lights are used for street lighting and the 35W KS series are used for sidewalk lighting. This lighting solution could not only provide the best lighting effect but also save the most energy. All street lights in this project are equipped with Class II drivers to meet the requirements of double insulation. This client has cooperated with us for more than 5 years, retrofitting the street lighting of different cities in Italy.

1. What is  LED?

   LED means Light-emitting diodes. These are electronic components that use the passage of electrons within the diode's substance to directly transform electrical energy into light. LEDs are significant because they are starting to replace the majority of traditional light sources thanks to their efficiency and low energy consumption.

   
   

2. What is color temperature and why is it important?

   Color temperature is expressed in Kelvin and is a mathematical calculation based on a light source's Spectral Power Distribution (SPD). It enables a large range of unique color combinations. Different combinations of Correlated Color Temperature (CCT) and Color Rendering Indexes (CRI) are available in LED lighting, which can have different impacts on eyesight. The color temperature is measured in degrees Kelvin, with a warm light (yellowish) being around 2700K, neutral white being approximately 4000K, and cool white (bluish) being around 5000K or more.

   Protecting the public with lighting that promotes alert drivers and a safe environment may be the greatest priority in many outdoor applications, to explain why it's necessary. In those circumstances, the suggested color temperature is used, taking into account the space and the people who will be using it.

   
   

3. What is Class II?

   IEC protection Class II power supplies will have a two-wire power cord as opposed to a three-wire power cord with Safety Earth connection.The concentric square symbol or the words "Class II" or "double insulated" are frequently used to identify products having Class II insulation on safety labels.
