ENEC 200w Modular Design Outdoor Street Light

This is a modular design of Outdoor Street Light. The advantage of this design is that the damage of a single module will not affect the normal use of other modules, which is convenient for maintenance and has a high-cost performance. Vertical and horizontal installation are both available, adjustable by ±15° in both directions.

1. What is the voltage of the street lamp?

2. Are LED street lights better than sodium lamps?

How do LED street lights compare to high-pressure sodium street lights?

Sodium vapor bulbs contain metals that evaporate into inert gases in a glass enclosure, and LEDs are a solid-state technology. Both techniques are very effective. The difference is that sodium vapor lamps were the most effective techniques of the 1970s, while LEDs are the modern equivalent.


3. What is SPD?

SPD in LED lighting area usually means Surge Proection Device. It's a device or appliance that protects electrical equipment against voltage spikes in alternating current (AC) circuits. A voltage spike is a brief transient occurrence that can reach over 1,000 volts and lasts 1 to 30 microseconds. Lightning can generate a spike in voltage of over 100,000 volts, which can burn through wiring insulation and cause fires, but even small spikes can harm a wide range of electrical items, including computers, battery chargers, modems, and televisions. The surge device will typically activate at a predetermined voltage, usually 3 to 4 times the mains voltage, and divert the current to earth. The surge may be absorbed by some gadgets and released as heat.
